Disclosure time

I think it's time to pictures of some of the supplements I had purchased in the past, trying to feel better.  I finally took some pictures.  These pictures only show the supplements I have left and stopped taking once I decided to give Isagenix a try.  I will also post a picture of the basic Isagenix products I have been taking.  The pictures will give a pretty good story of the difference I have in my life now. There are other products that I love and do  enjoy.  I just have run out of those products and haven't used them during the last month. I can update with a new picture once I am able to purchase more products.  But the real beauty or miracle for me, is that even using just the basic products have a huge impact on my life.  I just love taking the bars along with me when I am out of the house instead of having to mess with a shake.  It makes life so much simpler. But, if I don't have bars, I can use the shakes.  If I don't have shakes I can eat a bar.  Pretty cool, if you ask me.  I love having a shake in the morning, as it is smooth and soothing to my stomach and intestines.  But I prefer a bar with a cup of coffee or tea for my lunch or dinner as I enjoy the texture of the bars and the sense of chewing.

Isagenix has these wonderful small dark chocolates that boost the energy & curb the cravings, especially when taken with a glass of water.  I must admit, I have fallen in love with them. So, when the budget allows those go on the shopping list.

I have now lost a total of 40 lbs.  I would like to lose another 30-35 lbs yet.  I know that will happen as long as I embrace my new healthy lifestyle.

Easter

Easter has come and gone.  We had some of the family favorites and I made food that I can eat.  I am really pleased as I stayed the course for the most part.  I had a shake for breakfast and had a very reasonable dinner.  I did enjoy my wine as my treat.  I am pleased to announce that I held my weight and feel great today.

A New Day

Good news!  I don't think my rash is from coffee.  I think it's from corn.  I still can't have all the coffee I want, but I think I can handle one cup a day.  At least I am going to try it and see.

Mother's Day

Today, I decided I wanted to enjoy the day with my family, along with a nice meal.  I have 3 daughters, 2 son-in-laws and 2 grandsons.

One son-in-law couldn't make it over to our house today, but the rest of the family did. The weather was lovely, allowing us to sit outside on the deck and grill our dinner.  We had a wonderful time sharing with one another things we just never take the time to share.  We sat back and enjoyed a simple meal of grilled steaks, a nice green salad and roasted vegetables. I opted to skip on dessert so we could enjoy a glass or two of wine.

I made sure to have a shake for breakfast and was going to have one for supper, but honestly I was still full from our dinner.

Today was an easy day to follow the eating plan.  Some days are easier than others, and today I was blessed with easy.

A new Day, a new Challenge

My life seems to have taken on a life of it's own!  I realized today that I need to slow it down a bit and get some control over it.  I have not been able to exercise since Sunday.  And I have had 2 meals each day.  My weight has maintained itself, but I am feeling bad that the weight loss has stalled.  I have found that my morning coffee with my in-laws each day has caused my body some distress. Since I know I am allergic to the coffee, but in love with it as well, I now have the horrible struggle of going off of it again.  I am not feeling very strong right now, nor ready to battle the withdrawals that I know will be coming.  I wish I could have stayed strong and not have gone back to drinking the coffee.  But I know wishing won't change what is.

My Isagenix team is a source of strength for me.  I will have to go back and reread their emails and embrace their victories in order to find the strength to renew my commitment to a healthier lifestyle.

Saturday's look back

Well, we did great yesterday, considering.  We started out with our bar, and of course the free coffee. Yummy!

We met a lot of interesting people yesterday and today.  This morning we met a wonderful gentleman from New York.  He shared so much of his story with us, that we feel we made a new friend.  We went to this Sushi Bar for lunch (since I don't like Sushi, I figured I had it made, I could just have water and visit), but it turns out that this wonderful man was treating Dwaine & I to lunch.  Fortunately they also served an upscale menu.  I had a sea food salad.  The  salad was small, yet very tasty with shrimp, crab and scallops with a light vinaigrette dressing.   It was like having a healthy snack.

I should mention that by this time, while following my Isagenix diet (since January 10th of this year) I had gotten down to 157 lbs.  That is almost 40 lbs.  I would like to lose another 30 or so pounds.  And so the journey continues.

Monday, Recuperation Day?

9 AM and the phone is ringing off the hook.  Oops it's 10:30 and I am still in a dire need of a shower only to get a call from my sister-in-law saying that they were minutes away from our house.  I went flying up the stairs woke Dwaine up, jumped in the shower, turned off the water and the door bell rang!

So begins my week.  I have been cooking and eating ever since.  I have hives on my hands, a rash on my neck & forehead and a massive headache.  And I wonder why?  I would have to say, that I did not rise up to this challenge very well!

Tomorrow if all is right with the world I will start out by exercising and then I will proceed to do a cleanse day or at the very least, embrace a shake and a bar for 2 of my meals and let the healing begin!
